| J C Martin's Blessing As most of you are aware, JC Martin has been praying for a trike. His church has been supporting him in prayer and gifts. His friends have been giving and supporting JC in prayer. JC began preparing for this trike over three years ago when he first joined Chariots of Light. Biker gear such as helmet, chaps, gloves, boots and coat were purchased by JC three years ago. After all, if he was going to ride, he had to have the stuff. JC prepared a parking place at his home just for the day when the trike would arrive. After all, he had to have a place to park it. Yesterday, his trike arrived at his home. Clear title and debt free. Halelujah!!!! to the Highest. | You Might Be Baby: Jeff Foxworthy has made a lot of money by proclaiming “YOU MIGHT BE A REDNECK” Well, here’s an idea that I believe that God has been kicking around for a long time. You might be a Spiritual baby if: You can quote lots of scripture – you might be a baby You have a great Christian vocabulary – you might be a baby You have special spiritual gifts – you might be a baby You can know the bible from cover to cover, have the church language down pat, and flow in the gifts fluently- you might be a baby Listen, the first sign of someone leaving babyhood is; how they act. Actions speak louder than words. If I see you sucking on a bottle , you ain’t driving my car. And, I ain’t riding with you either. I have seen a lot of people who have been Christians a long, long time, but have never seemed to to grow. They were always the same old miserable selves and loved to spread their kind of misery to others. The biggest reason why churches split, in my opinion, is the lack of growth and maturity of the sheep. In the Contemperary version of Gods Word, Jesus says it like this : “You can tell what they are by what they do. No one picks grapes or figs from thornbushes”. Matt 7:16 Jesus also gives us some valuable wisdom : “You can see the speck in your friend's eye, but you don't notice the log in your own eye. 4How can you say, "My friend, let me take the speck out of your eye," when you don't see the log in your own eye? 5You're nothing but show-offs! First, take the log out of your own eye. Then you can see how to take the speck out of your friend's eye “. Matt 7:3-5 You see, it’s the little things that keep us little. Peter said it like this: 1 Peter 2 amplified: 1SO BE done with every trace of wickedness (depravity, malignity) and all deceit and insincerity (pretense, hypocrisy) and grudges (envy, jealousy) and slander and evil speaking of every kind. 2Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire) the pure (unadulterated) spiritual milk, that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto [completed] salvation, Read first and second Peter. It was written to the Gentiles. That’s you and me. Go ahead, I dare ya to start growing. Because if you ain’t growin, you ain’t eatin the right stuff. You just might be a baby. |
